I'd like to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey this year. I'm amazed by how many people have listened to my music, played pieces from my sheet music and sent messages of encouragement and support, this all means so much to me!
I'd also like to thank everyone who has collaborated with me this year: the players helping me to realise my compositions, the sound engineers helping me to make great recordings, the artists releasing on the label, the illustrators and animators who have created beautiful artwork to accompany my releases, and the composers and music producers who have provided feedback on my compositions and recordings to help me produce better mixes.
Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has licensed my music for film, TV and contemporary dance. 2024 was a great year for licensing and I feel very grateful that film directors and choreographers connected with and wanted to use my music.
Looking forward to sharing new music with you in 2025!

I'm working on a new piece for @curveensemble for a recording in December and I thought I'd share some of the compositional process with you.
I've worked up 3 sketches for different types of pieces for the ensemble using graphic scores.
The first one is effectively a large ambient chord in which each player is given 1 note and they change dynamic, timbre and technique so that melodies and harmonies come through in different parts of the texture.
The second one, which is not as easy to represent in a graphic score, takes a fairly simple chord progression and subjects it to lots of melisma and ornamentation, so there will be a lot of trills, turns and scalic passages which will provide a rhythmic element to the piece.
The third one is a series of crescendos/chords with silence between each one,
The piece experiments with vibrato, tremolos and trilling and use of silence.
