I have been gone for a long long time... but now I am BACK!

Thank you to everyone who left comments on my videos since I left, saying they missed me or they loved my videos and wanted more - you guys are the reason I'm coming back. Honestly.

I don't think the channel content will change all that much, beyond widening a bit - I'll still be posting showcases, translations, tutorials, deep-dives, and so on, but I'll also be streaming sometimes and maybe even posting a music video or two.

Here's what I have planned for the near future:

1. A Conlang Critic-inspired roast/showcase of Paresi, along the lines of ‪@Lichenthefictioneer‬, in homage to ‪@HBMmaster‬.
2. The start of a new streaming series where I try to teach a computer to speak and understand Dorini, and where we hopefully learn some computational linguistics and NLP in the process.
3. A dub of the Ninjago theme song in Dorini.
4. A slightly humorous video about why /aj aw/ are better English diphthong phonemic transcriptions than /aɪ aʊ/.
5. A showcase of the englang I created based on Little Alchemy.
6. A video about xenolinguistics.

I have MANY more video ideas for the summer as well (coming up with ideas was never the problem), and I'm especially excited to start a series where I take you guys through building conlangs from pre-existing media (I'll be making the languages from The Sparrow and Children of God by Mary Doria Russell).

As for why I stopped making videos in the first place, it was a combination of being very busy for a while IRL and fatigue over the How to Make an A Posteriori Language series. I just felt like the last two videos weren't going to import much more value, and a little burned out with the whole thing I guess. Perhaps my youtube-ing motivations weren't as pure as I'd hoped them to be. But now I'm back! I decided that I just really like making videos and I missed that part of my life. I missed YOU!

As for why the name/branding change, I just felt like it should change to signify the new era.

Simulanger is back in business 🐒💻.

As requested, the IPA key of Rimindu Dorini (the Dorini script that's been showcased in a lot of the Dorini videos)! Swipe for pictures of the script and the keyboard!

I will be making a video in the future describing how I made Rimindu Dorini (a abugida~syllabary) into a typable font, and created a custom keyboard layout (software) and cover (hardware). Also, the next Dorini short video might be just describing how the script works, because it's definitely not obvious from the key.

Possibly even a Confonting 101 series later, if people seem to want it :0
