Hi Pen Friends! New video coming very soon! I had a set back (coughing/respiratory issues flared up) on Jan. 2nd and so I've "lost" about a week ... but I'm happy to say I do feel much better once again NOW. I'm starting to respond to comments today. And, while not feeling well I still enjoyed receiving an item for review (rare for me) which I'm ready to shoot the video soon (possibly today but no guarantees)... all my notes and preps are complete to show you something I'm quite excited about!!! Today, I have an appointment which should help quite a bit get me back on track even more. Thank you for being so patient and I will get around to comments soon + resume posting videos!!!! I was surprised to see so many comments and as you know, I enjoy our "conversations" so much. Take care and be well + I'll "see" you soon! ~Chris~

Just for fun, I found and playlisted each of the 7 You Tube Anniversary/Celebration videos I've made! I'm not sure if this will work to share it in the Community Tab but I'm giving it a whirl! Also, today's video is my 7th Anniversary video ... I started this channel on Sept. 7th, 2017 with my video about organizing fountain pens with cigar boxes!

In today's video - I show you the Fountain Pen Inventory and Tracking (3x5" card file box) System I'm now using! I love it so much more than my spreadsheet!!! It's like my own personal little library card file & in the long run it will show me which pens get all the love!!!βοΈβ€οΈππ

We're getting ready for Tropical Storm/Hurricane Beryl ... to make landfall possibly directly into Corpus Christi or North, or South of us ... it's a wide path of possibilities (better safe than sorry) ... so we plan for the worst and hope for the best... Monday morning - afternoon ... ! Today we completed the exterior preps and last minute shopping ... + fuel up ...so the next thing is final organizing our emergency things in place inside the house. We stay stocked with emergency food + water + pet food year round. It appears this will be a long hurricane season... it sure has started early and with a bang! Stay safe everyone!!!! In today's video I forgot to spread out these 9 tiles for comparison... the 1st vertical column are my typical pre fountain pen (Pilot G2 + Pentel Energel pens) palette. Vertical column 2 shows some of my more recent favorites and column 3 is my current black, red and grey favorites! I'm going to look for green, brown and orange inks in my stash to add to my longer term inked pens. And I've already chosen 6 letter writing pens/nibs/inks which we'll look at in my next video. July will be a big writing month and the TWSBIs always stay flowing reliably so I'm looking forward to it!!!πΊπΈπβοΈππππ«

Hi Pen Friends! I spent the long Memorial Day Weekend catching up on writing Pen Pal letters + thank you notes! Then I cleaned my pen desk and started choosing inks and pens for June! I have 4 blue inks for June. This surprised me but 2 are brand new to me samples and one is actually a teal. The other is a nice blue black for a EF nib. I have a new pen and 3 inks that are new to me as well for June. I'm pretty excited about my choices and I'm making and pulling tiles for the video. A recent viewer comment/question about pen pal letter writing prompted me to playlist the few videos I have done on the subject of pen pals ... it is one of my favorite parts of the fountain pen hobby and over the years I've made a few videos about it.

December 2023: I love to share my journey of writing with fountain pens and inks here on this You Tube channel. I make regular videos each month about what I'm writing with and I update mid month with a progress report on how each pen/nib and ink is doing. Also, I'm likely to review anything I get really excited about that relates to the fountain pen hobby. I'm in my 7th year of making You Tube videos and I enjoy connecting with other fountain pen people + talking about books, cats and fixing an old house. My husband and I are retired and this venture here on You Tube is one of my hobbies - it brings me a lot of joy. In the beginning, I reviewed a lot of inks but that became something I didn't enjoy the repetition of after a few years. However, I still really enjoy talking about how a specific ink does for me in a specific pen/nib. Thank you for joining me. I keep ads on the channel to help me fund my postage for pen pal writing, and to pay for other hobby supplies!
