Hello. I'm Violet Deliriums.
I play a few cover songs on the electric guitar, playing along with MP3s in the playlist "Violet's Cover Tunes" which can be played in its entirety or you can select the ones you want individually. So far, I have stuck mostly with genres like punk, new wave, alternative rock, and the like, but there are some exceptions. The main criteria I have for selecting a song to play is that it not be about girls, cars, and wastoid lifestyle. I tend to choose songs that express democratic values such as tolerance and responsible individualism regardless of genre.
I have also made some videos about using stompboxes that might be useful to you. I think that playing with timbre and tone can be both fun and expressive. Rather than searching for a "signature tone" like many guitarists do, I prefer to be a sort of tone chameleon. In my cover songs, I change my sound to match the genre and as a means of expression. In my demos, I show you how I do that.
