But remember, these prices won't stay low for long, especially when rates start to decrease. Why? Because high demand reduces the housing supply, leading to price spikes.
I understand that many people are hesitant about taking the plunge into homeownership. However, that doesn't mean there's no movement in the market. Homes are still being bought and sold for various reasons, including unfortunate situations like death or divorce, lifestyle changes like downsizing, job-related moves or losses, and even investors choosing to sell their properties. These are just a few of the main drivers, but there are others too.
Consider this: paying a slightly higher monthly mortgage that allows you to write off the interest and property tax, all while building equity in your own home, may be a smarter financial move than renting and paying a significant amount over the next few years without gaining any ownership.
And let's address the concern about maintenance costs – they typically aren't as high as you might think! 😳
