LALAL.AI Supports 2 New Stems: Wind & String Instruments
Since the release of Phoenix, the revolutionary stem splitting technology, we have been gradually improving it. In early 2022 Phoenix supported only vocal and instrumental isolation, while individual musical instrument stems were extracted by Cassiopeia, our neural network of the preceding generation.
Between April and October of this year we were able to train Phoenix to extract all the stems of musical instruments that Cassiopeia supported: drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, piano and synthesizer. As a result, LALAL.AI started to offer absolutely unrivaled splitting quality of 8 stems in total which no other solution on the market provides.
But LALAL.AI wouldn't be LALAL.AI without constantly raising the bar. As soon as we break a record, we strive to conquer new heights and supply our dear users with something special๐โค๏ธ
This time we present two completely new and unique stems that neither us nor other services ever had before โ the Wind Instruments and the String Instruments stems.

Perfected Piano & Synth Stem Splitting with Phoenix
Over the course of 2022 weโve been training Phoenix, our next-generation neural network, to split songs and videos into different types of stems. At the time when we initially implemented Phoenix, it was only able to extract vocal and instrumental stems while the isolation of music instruments was handled by Cassiopeia, LALAL.AIโs older network.
Phoenix is a superior source separation solution to our previous networks as well as to all AI-based splitting technologies on the market. Naturally, we wanted Phoenix to provide the same high-quality extraction of not only vocals and instrumentals but also of a variety of other stems.
We started working towards this goal right after the release of Phoenix in February of 2022. In April the network became capable of drums stem extraction, in June Phoenix started to support bass stem splitting, and in August it began offering isolation of acoustic and electric guitars.
Now, halfway through October of 2022, we are happy to announce that Phoenix supports the extraction of two new stems โ piano and synthesizer!

At the beginning of 2022, LALAL.AI presented Phoenix, an in-house trained neural network capable of superior vocal and instrumental stem splitting compared to all existing solutions on the market.
