➤ The 1970s and 1980s were the pinnacle of a period known as the "Golden Age of the Serial Killer." These murderers and their monikers, such as The Night Stalker, The BTK (bind, torture, kill) Killer, The Butcher Baker, The Golden State Killer, and others, became part of the zeitgeist of the time. But so did advances in forensic science that contributed to their capture.
