My new course, "Unfolding the Senses: Towards Holosoma," will start next weekend, and will be co-led by Bohmian dialogue pioneer, Lee Nichol. As many folks already know well, David Bohm was quite concerned with the growing fragmentation of meaning in society and politics, and he developed his dialogical method as a means of addressing it. Bohm felt practices such as mindfulness tend to leave the unconscious untouched, and proposed that we need social, experimental dialogical practices to surface and work with the unconscious structures that condition our perception. His work anticipates what John Vervaeke calls the meaning crisis, and seeks to foster and lay the foundations for what Hanzi Freinacht calls the "Listening Society."
But what many people are less familiar with, is that he also advised the cultivation of somatic intelligence to address the barriers of conditioned perception that often impede dialogue, meaning making, and meaningful contact with others. So, in this course, we will explore the somatic side of David Bohm's teachings, working particularly with what Bohm called the holoflux; and we will deepen and extend this inquiry by integrating it with David Michael Levin's work on the senses -- which he sees as sites of both deep conditioning and profound transformative potential. Levin follows various Continental philosophers in his diagnosis of the spread nihilism in society, and in his recommendation for "practices of the self" to challenge and transform our conditioned sense perception. But he extends this work also, presenting a developmental model of sensory capacity - from pre-reflective infantile sense perception, to conventionally conditioned egological perception, to critical-reflexive political perception, up to integrative and nondual modes of perception -- and integrating various insights from Eastern thought and practice to complement the (largely Western) presentation.
If this is of interest to you, there is still time to register for the course. It runs for 6 weeks, and will feature a mix of live presentations, weekly inquiry exercises, and some light readings or other supplementary materials. There will also be several interactive sessions throughout the 6 weeks. Registration information will be included in a comment to this thread.

Last November, I gave a presentation on postmetaphysical spirituality and led three morning practice sessions on Kum Nye yoga for the Stanford Medical School Contemplation by Design Summit. The presentation has not yet been published, but a friend just let me know the practice videos have been posted. Here is the first of them:
