Dr. Ben is a folk-blues recording artist who performs songs of heartache, hope and healing, based on 30 years of travels as a doctor to almost 100 rural communities across Canada. His music describes his experiences helping people with mental health challenges, addictions and chronic illness, using a mix of intricate fingerpicking guitar styles, soulful blues licks and poignant lyrics. Dr. Ben often performs in bars and clubs in the same towns on his travelling doctor schedule, and has just released his debut singles, “Fibbin’ on Me” and "Come to My Rescue". Based in Toronto, Dr. Ben’s side gigs include university professor and advocate of global health.
