Simone Lobbia is a Perth (WA) based composer published by Wirripang (NSW).
Over the years Simone has worked with various orchestras and chamber music ensembles as a
professional violin player and composed instrumental and vocal art music that has been performed in
Australia and Europe. He also composes pedagogical repertoire which is regularly played by Australian
ensembles.
He is Artist in Residence at the Fremantle Arts Centre 2023 along with paper print specialist and visual
artist Andrew McDonald. He is the recipient of the ASME (Australia Society for Music Education)
âAugment and Inspireâ award 2020 and has been selected for the âGrowing your ownâ ANCA WA
(Australian National Choral Association) project 2021.
Simone is currently Instrumental Teacher (Violin/Viola) and Orchestral conductor at IMSS (Instrumental
Music School Services).
