Today marks the 30th anniversary of the Super NES's North American release!
I normally don't do this, since I love surprises, but I've been working on a big retrospective video/review thing to celebrate the occasion. I was hoping to have it up for today, but alas!
I want to make sure I get this one right, so I'm putting a few* more hours into it, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what people think of it. It's a bit outside my normal wheelhouse, fused with some of the video essay stylings you've come to know and love from The D-Pad!
I'm HOPING to start filming it today, but time will tell!
In the meantime, what were your favorite Super Nintendo games?

We've got 9 videos coming between today and tomorrow to celebrate—today's were a bit more normal, but tomorrow holds quite a few surprises... 😉

Oh snap, I think this is the first time I've used this function! Hello, all you lovely people! I know lots of you guys were looking forward to some big Mega Man-related content from us today, and... gggg it took a lot longer to put together than I initially anticipated, so both videos will be coming tomorrow!
Sorry for holding up what is already a DAMN good Mega Man game, and I hope you all enjoy the big stuff we've got coming! See you all tomorrow!

Welcome to The D-Pad! Home of The Mega Let's Play, The Super Sonic Let's Play, The Dreamy Let's Play, The Legendary Let's Play, Pokémon Rivals, Ninety Minute Nails, Seriesly, and more!
The D-Pad is a Massachusetts-based show started in April 2011, originally founded as a web radio show, now a YouTube channel.
On August 22, 2013, we launched The Legendary Let's Play -- the ultimate Zelda experience. Every day, we released a new video as we played through every single Zelda game. We finally reached our goal on December 31, 2014, after over 550 videos.
On January 19, 2015, we launched The Mega Let's Play, with the goal of playing every one of over sixty Mega Man titles. On weekdays, you get 15-minute videos of the platforming games, while the weekends bring half hour-long episodes of the RPGs.
On March 25, 2016, we launched The Dreamy Let's Play, to celebrate the Kirby series, and on June 19, 2016, we launched The Super Sonic Let's Play for Sonic's 25th anniversary.
