Peppa and Suzy were portrayed as friends throughout the “Peppa Pig” series. But what we weren’t supposed to know was how toxic their friendship was. Fortunately for us “Peppa Pig: What Really Happened?” workers, we were able to see right through that. We were able to tell just how toxic this friendship really was. “Peppa Pig” first aired on May 31, 2004. Shortly after, we were introduced to Peppa’s supposed friend, Suzy Sheep. We can see through various clips that their relationship was not the best. My first example I have for you today, is the iconic “Peppa Hangs up on Suzy Sheep” where we see Peppa trying to whistle. She goes and asks Mummy Pig how to whistle. She tries and can’t do it. First red flag: as someone who can not whistle, I find it extremely inappropriate to touch this topic. Second red flag: in the clip we see Peppa calling Suzy and asking her if she can whistle. When Suzy says no, Peppa gets happy. A real friend would not be happy and their friends inability to do something. Third red flag: as soon as Peppa tells Suzy how to whistle, Suzy is able to do it. Peppa than goes wide-eyed and hangs up on Suzy. This shows clear dissatisfaction with her friends successes. That is just one of the many situations in which we can see how toxic the Peppa and Suzy friendship really was. Come back for more
