24 years ago when we met, my wife and I committed to accompany each other wherever and whenever we can, on the tasks God gives us; to remain alert to the danger of public praise and titles, and to always let these things come through the right ear and pass immediately through the left, as we keep focused on the journey and the purpose God has put us here for. This keeps us measured and honoring those who help us on this journey, young or old.
I pray for my wife that this duty and a deep sense of humility before God who has kept our family together is never muted, lost, or degraded even in the glare of the public spotlight.
