Ya know.... idols are hard. We shouldn't have them. Someone told me the other day that they realized they held Jordan higher in life than they should have. It was a cool thing to hear. Some reality. Some depth. Some Truth. No one deserves that pedestal but the Almighty. With that said.... Michael was a gift to watch. It was a gift to be able to be part of a generation on the edge of your seat watching this man play every game live on TV. I was blessed to be able to be at his last game in Cleveland. What a night. It's cool to be part of a generation where you got to see such talent, effort, dedication, commitment, hard work, perseverance, blood, sweat, tears and even the flu virus left out on that court every game. It was cool to witness a guy that was beaten down to the ground and instead of crying to the refs... he lifted weights and trained harder to be stronger than them next time. There was no lose. There was no excuses. You gave your all and when you failed... you got back up and you pushed harder than last time until you proved to yourself what you were made of. Kids these days will never experience the experience of Michael Jordan. They'll never understand the shoe craze. The jumping higher. The respect. The feeling. Putting those shoes on made you not want to give up and pushed you up a level in your game. You always felt it. Not many understand that. It wasn't about the material side of it. (I mean they did feel and look really good for the first 12 yrs ). It was the mind state it gave you. The feeling that went through you. Shoes in my generation was 75% of your outfit lol. And they were Jordan's. Real ones. Not Jumpans. Anyway. Dumb post. Yeah. But I was just thinking. Thanks MJ
