so, anyone who has been on recent livestreams will have noted that i tended to drop connection a lot... turns out, one of the access points in the house was broken so that's why wifi would just drop every so often. It looks like things are just about fixed now, i'm hardly getting any connection drops anymore.
But, because streams aren't the only thing that suffered from lack of internet... my job did too.. i have a bit too much work to catch up on :/
Thrusday we'll be back to our 2D cardgame tycoon streams as usual and i'll try to compensate for lost time by doing a big stream over the weekend too, and/or maybe an extra stream sometime next week. that way we should get back on track.
Sorry for all the messy internet issues and hopefully you'll all join me again when pick the project back up later this week!

SO, i have a question again! we're going strong with all these long term series. Inventory, materials, after that we'll get into particles... I have been thinking about another long term tutorial series that might be HUGE... That being, making a pokemon clone. Of course, not making a whole game, just putting the systems in place on which you can build a pokemon-like game!
But, here's the thing.. if i were to make such a game myself i would 100% be using the Gameplay Ability system because it's awesome for this kind of thing. But if I'm going to make a tutorial series for it... i would have to make people watch the course for GAS first... which redirects people to my C++ course to learn the basics of native code...
What's more, the pokemon series might also lift some parts of the tutorial system that i've made, so that's another 4 hour course i'd have to direct people too.. all in all, i'm giving people 10 hours of homework before even STARTING the pokemon clone course... seems like a lot, but the alternative is me having to repeat a lot of content that i more or less already made with the inventory, and waste a bunch of time remaking the GAS from scratch, which is not what i would recommend anyone do...
So here we are, with a poll asking for your opinion on what you think i should do!

QUESTION TIME!
At this point this channel has a good bit of content on it! I try to sort everything into their own playlists and i already have 1 giant playlist with all my unreal tutorials. but that's ordered entirely in upload order, making it a little worthless as a watching expirience. because it goes from "this is how to make a basic thing" straight into "and this is how you can recreate the multiverse in unreal" , then back to "and this is how casting works".
So, the idea is to revise the playlist with every single video on this channel in it to a playlist like "Every step you need to learn unreal engine" or something like that, a playlist that starts off with my unreal basics course and after that takes you through every single video on this channel in an order that actually helps you learn.
The idea is that i hope that this can give new users (and also some more experienced users!) a bit more structure in their learning experience and help them with some direction instead of just learning the engine by doing 1 feature tutorial at a time and missing a greater overview.
Now, would you guys give a damn about me putting in the hours of work that it would take to make that playlist?

with the inventory series coming to a close, i already have the next course pretty much finished and that'll start uploading soon, after i go through some unreal 5.4 related videos (they're more time sensitive so i want to focus on uploading those while they're relevant).
That course will be a introduction to materials and pretty much cover 2 upload slots a week on the channel for the rest of April and pretty much all of May. Not the question is, once that one is done, what should I do next?

Question time! Would you guys be interested in Non game development coding videos? and if so, would you like those to be on this channel or would you prefer them on a separate channel all together? they probably wouldn't be a very regular thing but i've been learning a few fun disjointed things over the last weeks/months (and surely more over the coming weeks/months) and figured maybe I could share some of that.
These would include things like:
Blender API
Adobe Premiere/ after effects API
Touchportal (streamdeck like software) API
and in the future once i get more time to play with it
arduino and/or raspberry pi projects

so pretty much just a whole bunch of "hey this is stuff i'm working on and playing with, here's what I learnt".. which is kind of how I run this channel to begin with.. XD
either way, if i end up doing any of this, it'll be a while. i'm way too busy at the moment and need to get better with all these subjects before i can make any content on them
