A couple of frames from my new video 'Start living in the real world again' I just posted.
My vision for 2025 for the channel is to create meaningful videos that address thought provoking questions.
We're all trying to figure out life as we go and I want to make this some kind of personal visual diary of trying to live a better life.
As I do this, I will try to make each video better and better in terms of storytelling and filmmaking aspects.
It took me like 3 weeks to finish this video. I'm spending way more time on preproduction compared to the past and I think it shows.
My focus is quality > quantity from now on, so you'll see less but more impactful videos (at least I hope) from me in the future.

Even though I'm not where I want to be yet, I think we can call this year successful.
Finally became monetized on YouTube, made +-€2,5k in revenue through product sales, YouTube ad rev and affiliate links.
Doubled the channel subscribers compared to last year and most importantly...
I finally know my creative direction and what I want to create for the foreseeable future.
Up to an even more successful year together with a mini-version of me and my wife!

I feel like these kind of videos feed my soul and allow me to be more creative compared to talking about camera gear.
It doesn't mean I won't talk about camera gear or techniques anymore, but it will be way less frequent.
Anyway, I'm just going to follow my intuition and create what feels my soul, since that's the most important thing.

Hi guys, it's been a while! I'm really trying to up my filmmaking, cinematography and storytelling game so the production time is way longer compared to before! Currently working on my Indonesia travel film and it's one of the toughest one's to edit yet.
It'll probably my first 30+ min video on the channel as well.
Keeping things more 'raw' instead of just showing cinematics and actually trying to give lot's of information about our trip!
I expect the film to be ready next week!

It feels weird not having posted in such a long time haha (feeling kind of guilty), but I'm working on it! Overall I'm trying to stress less over releasing something new every 7-10 days.
I'm also finally putting some time into learning the piano, something I've wanted to do for a really long time!
Anyway, I expect to release a new video next week! Not sure which one it'll be yet 🫡
