I am finally nearing the end of my backlog!
With nearly all the remaining tracks that I have made over a nine year period converted into video and ready to upload to YouTube, and with the schedule that I have been using for my uploads.
It is safe to say that my current string of uploads that I have been doing will be over by the end of June or start of July.
With this it now means that I can focus on fixing this channel up along with my bandcamp, creating a new theme for both sites and to have synergy with one another. I also have some tracks that i wish to compile and upload on my bandcamp, as well.
I am working on covers still but nothing new will be uploaded in a while after the backlog. This doesn't mean that I will be gone for nine years again though haha.
The whole reason why I stopped uploading in the first place was because I couldn't be bothered anymore. I was put off after being given a strike on the channel back in 2011.
The strike was for a Supertramp song and since I had a total of three of their songs on here that I had covered I was told in a email to take everything down or face loosing the channel.
I was gutted because Supertramp is a band that I have loved for years and not being able cover their songs was annoying especially getting a strike for it which I thought was very unnecessary.
If I got a strike for covering my favorite band (Queen) or second favorite (Genesis) it probably would of killed me and I would have more than likely given up altogether.
Even though I was put off uploading onto YouTube, I still was covering songs mainly video game soundtracks. It was still a funny little hobby of mine and I was just making this stuff for fun with not worrying about copyright strikes. I did look into other sites to upload but most seemed to not really be in favor of covers so I didn't bother.
By the time the pandemic hit and noticing people taking up YouTube, I started to think maybe I should start uploading again because that was the reason why I was putting my covers on this site in the first place to share them.
So by December 2020 I decided to come up with a upload schedule and start uploading again. I don't do this to be popular but things might of been different for this channel if I didn't stop uploading. I don't regret my decision to stop though.
I have uploaded some more recent covers during this time such as a handful of tracks from the game Pizza Tower.
People seemed to have enjoyed them and I'm grateful for the comments.
It is safe to say that this dead channel has found some new life again and has managed to grow.
Hopefully I can keep it going so lets see what the future holds.

I am a cover artist based in the UK and cover music and video game soundtracks using a Sega Megadrive/Genesis.
When creating my covers I don't make them with the intention of being able to run in the background
of an old Megadrive game, I create them purely for the sake of music and also for fun.
Trying to recapture that classic 16-bit era of gaming from back in the day with Sega.
