The very first Unreal Engine MMD is finally ready! π
The process of making an MMD on another software really took me for a ride
- It only takes about an hour to render so I had to make sure everything was okay before I exported it
- File sizes were enormous
- Post-production was fun but exporting it afterward also took a lot of time compared to MMD videos
and it didn't even start there. Outside the software, you have to work on the process of translating MMD file compatibility and you have to work on the MMD itself.
That said though, even though I look like I'm ranting, I do enjoy every single bit of it.

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I uploaded a video and I wanna share the reason for it.
I really love MMD and I love it so much that I had to let it go. Well, the "MMD software", not the actual MMD itself. You see, MMD is a really old software created around the start of VOCALOID (2008) and it really shows when using the software. Everything can be quite primitive and simple (which is a good place for everyone who wants to get started with 3D stuff).
Don't get me wrong though. Despite its age, MMD is still going strong and will continue to be!
For me though, I want to explore a more modern approach to MMD, and that exploration led me here today - using "Unreal Engine".
Basically, it's MMD but with a more modern approach and a diverse set of powerful tools. And I believe that this will be the software that will push my MMD to the next level. For the past month, I have been learning the software and had a lot of fun with it. The workflow can be complicated but it's so rewarding when I can get images like the one here.
So yeah, to everyone who is still here. Thank you so much π. Hope to share an Unreal MMD soon.
