EDUCATION TO END EXPLOITATION -
STOP CHILD LABOUR
"If everyone who wants to see an end to poverty, hunger and suffering speaks out, the noise will be deafening"
- Archbishop Desmond Tutu
246 million children in the world today are child labourers. They are doing work that is damaging to their mental, physical and emotional development, and preventing them from learning to read, write and calculate.
Child labour is a vicious circle, because without education, as grown-ups they will have difficulty finding well-paid jobs, and will likely see their own children forced into work.
We are not asking you to get involved. You already are. Breaking the vicious circle is an issue for us all, governments, retailers, consumers, citizens and activists. No matter who you are there is something you can do!
