SIMA is entirely a family organization. The founder, Ms. Silvia Parra, has always worked with the support of her right hand and closest collaborator, her husband Jorge Fierro, and their children, Estefania and Christopher Fierro.
SIMA wants to unify families and preserve the Mexican traditions, as well as give children the opportunity to learn different dances from various regions of Mexico. Even though many of the children have never been to their parents country of origin, they are given the opportunity to learn and to broaden the perspective in a positive way while also promoting values and principles in all aspects based on respect and discipline.
