Ok I've finally got a video recorded for you guys! It's been almost a year since I've posted but I'm finally back! (Hopefully!)

So heres the question, the video is currently at x50 speed and is about 36 minutes long.

The drawing is of 4 pictures all containing the same character.

Should I post the 36 minute speedpaint or should I split it into parts?

Im thinking of getting an ipad pro and an apple pencil as I've heard great reviews over its usage as an art tablet!

Are there any good screen recording apps for the ipad? My searches have mostly lead me to forums of ipad users complaining about the built in recording software not working, having a time limit, and stopping at unpredictable times,

So if there's anything that can reliably record for long periods of time i would love to hear about it!

I really don't have much faith in apple products and my only reason to get this is for drawing, so Im probably not going to get one if there's not an easy way to make speedpaints hahaha

Quick side note: sorry about the lack of videos as of late! Its a tad difficult to focus on art when it seems like the world is falling apart ngl

But I've been trying out 3d modeling with blender lately so you may start seeing timelapses of me fumbling around the interface trying to make a singular anime cat for 50 hours straight someday.

Anyways thank you in advance for any input given in regards to the ipad pro recording stuff, its very appreciated :D

ok, so I uploaded the video last night, but apparently the songs I used were way too copyrighted and it was blocked from being viewed (thankfully I didn't get a copyright strike) but now I need to use different non copyright music and render it again, :/

I'll be doing my own search but if you have any free stuff that you think would fit this 40 minute video shoot it my way and I'll check it out.

(Chances are this is gonna get filled with homestuck music rip)

And now we wait...
Selecting music was actually easier than usual this time round! You guys can expect the next video to be up within a couple hours!

At 33 and 1/2 hours of work time, we have all of the footage needed for the next speedpaint! Sped up by 50x speeds, the video lays at a 40 minute run time, it may take some time to get the music I need for this! If you want, feel free to suggest some songs you'd like me to put into it! I can't promise that I'll add them, I'm stupidly picky about speedpaint songs lmao.

The speedpaint is a screenshot redraw of Balder from Bayonetta 2! The image attached to this post is the screenshot, I'm saving the finished redraw until the video goes up :3

Thank you for your patience and support! It truly means a lot to me! Ok! Aria out! <3

TDLR: I've got a stupid long video in the works, how should I deal with it?

Hey ya'll! I've got a new speedpaint coming up, a screenshot redraw of Balder from Bayonetta 2! I planned on this being just a quick drawing, something to be somewhat of a break from my other projects, and yet, here I am with 16 hours of footage and still not done with the drawing...

So! Here's my question to you! Should I:

[1] Keep the footage as is, and only speed it up + add music

[2] Cut out me cleaning up lineart and flat colors (these things don't really affect the finished image much, its often just me organising layers)

[3] Cut out both the cleanup process and the placing down flat colors part

[4] Just speed the video up to negate the length of the footage (even though at my usual speed x45 its still over 20 minutes long, and to speed it up to bring it back down to reasonable view time it would be likely too fast to really comprehend)

[5] Keep footage as is but split the video into two parts, one with the sketching, lineart, and flat colors, with the other having all the shading and rendering stuff. (I've never been much a fan of multi part speedpaints but I will do what I have to lol)

[6] Suggest you own idea below! This poll is likely going to influence how I handle extremely long videos in the future, so its important to me to hear what you guys would like!

Sorry about the lack of updates, I've been pretty busy lately with IRL stuff ^^|| I'm getting a bit more into the swing of things so I'll try to get back on schedule upload wise!

Here's a quick question for ya'll, I'm in the process of making a new endcard for- well- the end of my videos!

I've been using the Wii Shop Channel theme as the music for these, but as I'm remaking it I'm wondering if I should change it up! Let me know what you think!

As I am planning on doing more streams in the future, I figured I should ask this now!

I already plan on turning all stream recordings into speedpaints, but would you like me to keep the original real time footage?

Pros to keeping the unedited Livestream footage on my page -

Some people like seeing the drawing process in real time, and it can serve as a good self teaching tool as understanding the process and tricks I use is easier to understand without the footage being sped up.

Cons to keeping Livestream footage-

OBS likes to cut out occasionally during the Livestream process, making several videos for the same Livestream. Combining all clips together takes time, alot of rendering time. During which I can't use my computer so it cuts on my time to work on other projects.

And the Livestreams can clutter up my videos page, especially if I plan to do them frequently. It would kinda look messy if I save too many.

A third option would be for me to save only certain Livestreams, how I would choose which ones to save and which to delete, I don't know quite yet. But it's still an option.

Your input is useful! Thank you for helping me out with this!

Should I make custom thumbnails for my videos? I usually let YouTube pick a random bit in the video but I figured you guys would probably like to have some input on this ^^

(note, by custom thumbnails I mean I will still be showing the image I'm drawing but in a neater and more professional way than just YouTube picking a random screenshot of it)

If you want me to make custom thumbnails but have a preference in how I do it feel free to link me a channel or image that has the kind of look you want!
