One of the country’s most respected sports psychologists, Dr. Andrew Jacobs works with athletes of all ages, from youth athletes to collegiate, professional and Olympic competitors. Called “a pioneer in mental training,” he was one of the first sport psychologists to work with a US Olympic team, a professional team and a university athletic department. Dr. Jacobs has served as the team psychologist for the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Comets, the University of Kansas, and the University of Missouri Kansas City. Since 1992, Dr. Jacobs has been a radio talk show host. He currently hosts “Dr. Andrew Jacobs Sports Psychology Hour,” on Sports Radio 810WHB. Dr. Jacobs received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology: San Diego. He has been in private practice in Kansas City since 1981.
