The Differential is a musical project helmed by songwriter Martin Mallari, hailing from the vibrant heart of Metro Manila, Philippines.
Born out of a curiosity for music production, Martin embarked on this creative voyage in 2012, immersing himself in experimentation and sonic exploration. Over time, he crafted a collection of 10 mesmerizing demos that would later form the foundation of 'Resonance,' a demo album released under the pseudonym 'The Differential' in 2018.
The name 'The Differential' draws inspiration from the mechanical marvel of a Differential gear, a combination of cogwheels working harmoniously to set wheels in motion. Much like the mechanical precision it's named after, The Differential's music synchronizes various elements to create a symphony of sound.
Recently, The Differential has undergone a transformation, welcoming Elias Sitoy on bass, Casper Samson on guitars, and Lyle Esperon on drums. This fresh lineup, formed on December 29, 2022
