What are the best of the lower cost wireless microphone systems with recording in the transmitters? Having that extra backup recording without wireless transmission being a factor seems needed for anything important. So far one from Neewer and Ulanzi look pretty decent on paper for being under ~$115 USD.

I've been working on the photography archive scan project with Acdsee. Swapped the two separate drives for another copy of my archive that's a continuous drive which makes things easier. The PC was a bit unstable, but I think I've fixed that. Acdsee crashed once after that while cataloging, but then I got through it on the second run. Turns out not having the thumbnail generation on means it doesn't run face detect and AI keywords, so I've got to run it again. Given the SSD I have in there is 1TB and the database without thumbnails is 20GB, hopefully it's large enough to hold nearly 300k thumbnails. After that first pass, I did get statistics to look at which are pretty cool.

I put my newest license of Acdsee on an old PC so I can attempt to have it scan my entire photography archive. Curious to see how it will work with AI tagging and face detect. Added a computer fan powered by a 12v AC adapter for added cooling of the two hard drives. 😄👍

Thoughts on the Fujifilm X Half camera? To me it seems pretty neat. With the combination of price, vertical format, and film era simulator design I'm not sure it's something I'd have a personal interest in.

One good thing about having detailed terms that companies have to agree to before I accept "free" demo products from them is that it weeds out bad companies looking to take advantage of me, and indirectly my viewers by trying to control what's in the video. My my growing technology channel has started getting noticed. So far, only the phase change thermal pad company I worked with was honorable and respected my work. Here's a screenshot of a storage company that has terrible marketing practices. They responded with this joke after I said they had to agree to my terms before I accept any demo products. I also have advertising options, which they totally ignored. These companies want videos to appear like reviews, but also want to control the content. It feels very underhanded.

* Selection tool that uses machine learning.
* More RAW support for cameras and lens profiles.
* More changes to the color picker.
Usability improvements in Photo:
* Image and RAW layers can now be used with raster selections when deleting and duplicating
* Merge Down / Merge Selected commands now work with Image and RAW layers
* ⌘/Ctrl-click drag with marquee selection now works on Image and RAW layers
* Image layers can now be used to enter the Develop Persona
* Image and RAW layers can now be used to enter the Liquify Persona
* Image and RAW layers can now be used to enter the Tone Mapping Persona
* When using a brush tool on an Image or RAW layer, perform a non-destructive behaviour instead of rasterising
* Inpainting Brush Tool and Patch Tool now remember sampler option between sessions/documents

* Curves will render greyscale result immediately when colour model is changed to Grey
