Mufti Tariq Masood is a highly qualified Islamic scholar, having pursued an intensive full-time study of the classical disciplines of Islamic learning, also known as Dars-e-Nizami. He has formal certifications as an 'Alim,' which certifies him to teach various disciplines, including Qur'an, Tafsir, Hadith, Arabic Grammar and Linguistics, Beliefs and Creed, and Islamic Law and Legal Theory (Fiqh and Usul).

In addition, he completed his specialization in Islamic jurisprudence (Takhassus fi Fiqh) from Jamia Tur Rasheed and was formally certified as a "Mufti," which authorizes him to give Fatwah (Legal Opinion).

Mufti Tariq Masood is actively involved in teaching classical Islamic learning (Dars-e-Nizami) and has been associated with Darul Iftah for the past 13 years at Jamia Tur Rasheed. He is also a prolific writer and has been answering fiqhi masail (legal questions) in one of the famous Islamic newspapers for five years.
