So, I promised everyone a full October album for this year, and here it is, just 2 weeks away! 🙂
"Autumn Sorceries" is, as its name suggests, a completely themed album, with 9 original pieces I composed and recorded to celebrate my favourite time of the year. It combines Celtic, witchy, magical and ancient sound textures and atmospheres that I hope you'll enjoy listening to when a soft steady rain is falling outside your window and you're bundled up in a cozy plaid with ginger tea and pumpkin pie. Or when you're taking a peaceful walk in the forest, surrounded by the golden leaves and the bewitching smell of Autumn. 🍁🍂🎃🧡🤎

Wanna make sure you hear the album the moment it goes live on October 4? Spotify has a cool new feature that lets you presave an album and join the final countdown until release day. Simply go to the link below and presave "Autumn Sorceries", so you'll get it in your Spotify library the moment it goes live on October 4!

Someone commented on my last short I should have done a cosplay of Sally... So I decided to upgrade the game a bit for my upcoming Snow White video. 😂

The last release of the year is a beautiful collaboration with the very talented ‪@philleann‬! I'm thrilled to present our arrangement of "Sally's Song", composed by Danny Elfman for Tim Burton's iconic movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas". I'd been wanting to do this one for years, which is why I was very excited when Phil invited me to team up once again. Phil is a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in Celtic music, you can hear him here on the accordion and the tin whistle and I urge you to go and listen to his other creations on Spotify and on his YouTube channel, you'll definitely become a fan!
We hope you enjoy this little video!

New release out today, an instrumental cover of "Touch The Sky" from Disney's Brave! After the month of all the spooks, this one will surely brighten your darkened mood with its Celtic and folky feel. 🙂 ‪@JanPouska‬ suggested we add this one to our Disney collection, and it was so enjoyable to play it we actually wondered why we hadn't recorded it before already. Originally sung by the amazing Julie Fowlis, we hope we did the song justice with this blend of cello, bouzouki and low whistle. 🔥

The end of October is near, and I hope each one of you is having a wonderful time. As you know, it's my favorite time of the year and a time of intense creation for me. I'm happy to share my last contribution to this month's spooky ambience, the "Samhain Blessings" meditation that I recorded in 432 Hz, and released under my side project The Witchery.
Some of you who are attracted by mystical things as I am may be familiar with the beliefs around the 432 Hz tuning, which is said to be deeply soothing and healing for the mind and soul. I wanted to experiment it for the first time in this little meditative piece that will accompany your quiet Samhain celebrations, and I'm curious to know what you think of this experiment, and if you believe it's truly soothing in some ways. I've also taken part in a beautiful collaboration in 432 Hz with two amazing musicians around the same time I recorded this one, so stay tuned. :)

"Samhain Blessings (Meditation in 432 Hz)" is available to stream and download on all the usual platforms, except for Apple Music who unfortunately doesn't fancy titles that involve details about the tuning or any musical terms... :D

Hi everyone!
Let me present you with the “pièce de résistance” of my October, this extremely witchy instrumental piece that plainly evokes the casting of a magic spell. As we’ve now entered deeper into witch season, I wanted the main piece of late October to be something crispy and sparkly that would put my listeners in a spooky mood while awaiting Samhain. “Conjury” is quite special to me because it was directly inspired by a song I worked on with the divine Karliene last year, called “Dark Spellbind”, which was one of the most enjoyable recordings I ever had to come up with, and now definitely one of my favorite songs by Karliene. I wanted to create something in a similar mood, and that would convey the same kind of emotions and imagery, with a mix between a Tim Burton vibe and a Hocus Pocus atmosphere. I do hope you enjoy this one!

"All That Cannot Be" is the closing track of my new album "Tavern Tales From The West". It's actually an alternative variation to the melody of "The Wish of Every Princess" from the same album, which was beautifully sung by Karliene. After hearing the lyrics Karliene had written and sung so beautifully over what was initially an instrumental piece, I was so moved by the deeper, magical and bittersweet dimension she had suddenly brought to this song that I was inspired to create this shorter, darker version of the theme it was derived from to finish off the album on a melancholic note.

This piece is a reflection of our deepest desires, the ones that cannot possibly be fulfilled in the context of our current lives, the fantasy worlds we all, at some point, create in our minds as an alternative place for our souls when reality is too hard to bear. These places, immensely different from what we know, bring us comfort and warmth when we enter them, but we're always alone in them and eventually the return to reality is a hard blow. They leave us with strange questions, doubts and regrets over things that don't even exist, and leave us so empty and sad at times. It can be impossible dreams, situations, a physical place we would have liked to be, another time period we would have loved to be born into, the way we would have wanted someone to feel about us, someone different we would have wanted to be instead of ourselves... things we cannot have, and things that cannot be.
I do hope you enjoy this one, let me know which one was your favorite track of the album!

The next release is one of the two songs that will be featured on the album, called "The Wish Of Every Princess", co-written with the divine ‪@Karliene‬ and featuring ‪@JanPouska‬ on the Renaissance lute. I can't even describe how much I love this one, it's very special to me and I simply can't wait for everyone to hear it. Don't miss the premiere on my YouTube channel tomorrow, June 1st at 18:30 CET!
