Really cool video showing what the tower controllers do. One thing I noticed is that the one ground controller told the aircraft to "Hold short of Dixie" meaning taxi, but when you get to taxiway D, stop and wait. The interesting part of that is that "D" is "Delta" in the phonetic alphabet, but I am pretty sure they switched it to "Dixie" at ATL because it is a hub for Delta Airlines, and I am sure it would get confusing if they told someone "Hold short of Delta" when most of the airplanes taxiing around are Deltas.

Software engineer who spends way too much time as virtual ATC on the IVAO and POSCON flight simulator networks.
We need more virtual air traffic controllers to control and flight sim pilots to fly on these networks! There is a shortage of both in the United States. Training and software is provided and is free. The only requirements are a computer, preferably a microphone, and a desire to learn.
I am posting these videos to share some of my experiences in being a virtual air traffic controller and hopefully spark some interest. If you want to find out more information, please leave a comment.
