in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
as a result of not having enough "positive channel history" (including... livestreams?!) my channel has lost access to "advanced features" such as putting links in video descriptions. indeed, the discogs links i put on every video that indicate where you can potentially buy the music for yourself (second-hand) have all been removed. i'm not thrilled about this.
my channel has been inactive for a while aside from the recent Lewis / Gilbert uploads. this is because i realized many of my efforts don't go toward *preserving music*, but rather taking music i find already preserved in places other than youtube and making it available on 1 more platform. backups are useful, but it feels like taking credit. this recent move by youtube is probably the nail in the coffin for my channel - even if i stuck fully to original rips, i don't plan to upload music that i can't tell you where to buy for yourself. i don't want my middling ffmpeg skills to "disrupt" the market for second-hand music; i'm not exactly posting records only sold for hundreds of dollars that have never been ripped and shared elsewhere. (well... except tamori's dream. but i got that rip from emailing with another on-u sound fan.)
youtube was probably never a sustainable platform for music preservation - and i'd like to thank the people who have uplodaded many a neglected album anyway. there are some bands, such as Naffi Sandwich and The Box, that i never would've gotten into if not for random youtube reuploads. thank you.

This channel will mainly serve as a place for preservation of obscure music; i.e. music that cannot be found (in reasonable quality) anywhere on Bandcamp or YouTube, and cannot be listened to without buying it second-hand or finding a doubly obscure non-shady downloads site. If I put any actual videos on here they'll probably be unlisted. (With the exception of the occasional remix I make.)
Most album art pictures are shamelessly taken from elsewhere on the internet, with the exception of the Fatal Attraction, Be My Powerstation, and Jimmy Because vinyls (which I took myself)
I do not make money off of any of these uploads. They are presented purely for the purposes of archival and (optionally) your enjoyment.
