“I want to create music that inspires people the way I was impacted by singers growing up,” muses 20-year-old indie-Pop artist Lucy Cloud. Unsure at first if Nashville-based Belmont University – or even college in general – was the right choice, the songwriting major admits, “Now that I’m here, I’ve learned I don’t really know anything and now that I’m learning everything, I’m really happy I ended up here.” During one of her first writing sessions in Nashville, “Crash and Learn,” was born with writers Seth Mosley (for KING & COUNTRY, MercyMe) and Justin Morgan (Runaway June, Lauren Duski). Discovered by Kevin Jonas, Sr. of Jonas Group Ent and facing a budding music career, she confesses, “It’s definitely more mature and hopefully a lot of people will be able to relate to it. I’ve been songwriting since I was very young, and it was always an easier way to deal with my emotions.”
