Born & raised in Lorain, Ohio Jason Lawhead has been described by teachers & family as a day dreamer & late bloomer. Held back in the 5th grade for exactly those attributes was the first leap that drew Jason to comedy as a way to cope with life's shortcomings. Family fodder, making sports funny and his overall observation on the current state of all kinds of affairs is where Lawhead best treads. Starting out at open mic's in Cleveland under the mentorship of legendary club owner Nick Kostis at Hilarities in early 2004 is where he started & by 2013 Jason had broke through as a full time working comic when he made a name for himself as a regular opening act for Bill Burr on both of Billâs âBilly Bible Beltâ & âBilly Red Stateâ theater tours. By the end of 2015 Lawhead had appeared on Gotham Comedy Live twice & was selected to the season 9 cast of NBCâs Last Comic Standing. He is a favorite & regular at some of the best clubs from NYC to Las Vegas to L.A. & all parts in between.
