New album Ride The Fire out now đ„ - orcd.co/ridethefire
For their fifth album Ride The Fire, Icelandic rock band MAMMĂT are assembling images, words and sounds to create their own mythology, built on the trust they have established during their 17 years together. The album will surprise long-time listeners with its relative lightness, a sound that singer and lyricist KatrĂna Mogensen defines as âthe calm after the stormâ â and a step away from the intense introspection of 2017âs astonishing Kinder Versions. Mogensen and guitarists Alexandra BaldursdĂłttir and Arnar PĂ©tursson formed the first incarnation of MAMMĂT as teenagers in 2003, with bassist Ăsa DĂœradĂłttir joining later. Ride The Fire sees the newest member of MAMMĂT made official: drummer Valgeir Skorri VernharĂ°sson. Recorded between ReykjavĂk and London, the album was produced by Ărni Hjörvar of The Vaccines, mixed by Sam Slater, and mastered by Mandy Parnell.
