Hi Friends!
Unfortunately I am behind on getting my next video out due to a chronic illness flare-up along with a lighting mistake that made me have to throw out all the footage I'd shot.
On a totally different topic, I'm trying to decide what topic to present on for this year's Virtual JaneCon. I'm down to two ideas: "A Brief History of English Country Dancing from Henry Playford to Jane Austen by a Partial, Prejudiced, and Ignorant Historian" and "Neurodivergence and the Jane Austen Canon: the Double-Empathy Problem in the Comedy of Manners". Please tell me which one you would most like to see.

Happy New Year, Everyone! Hope you enjoyed our Christmas Special with my look at Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol." Getting back to Austen, however, I'm currently editing part 2 of "A Regency Dancer Reads Jane Austen.," and I need some input about format. I've filmed my commentary on Mansfield Park, Sense and Sensibility, and The Watsons, but I'm debating whether I should break it up into 2 parts because the run time is about half an hour. I've noticed my videos seem to perform better when I keep them under 20 minutes. Which would you prefer?

If my video seems a bit long, check out my friend Snappy Dragon's more concise take. Also for all you naturally curly ladies and femmes, she has a wonderful historical hairstyle tutorial!

I know most of you came for my "Five Things" video about the dancing in Jane Austen films. Because I only had 15 minutes for a presentation, I had to be ridiculously superficial with everything, and I would really love to go more in-depth with all of these.
I have been thinking about doing an individual video on each of my 5 points. What do people think of this?
