Want to bring more plants into your classroom? Looking for information on how to explore plants or make botanical education more accessible to your students? I'm here to help.
I'm Melanie Link-Perez, but my students call me "Dr. L.-P." I earned my Ph.D. in Botany at Miami University (Ohio) in 2010. While at Miami and ever since, I've been involved with science education, particularly with bringing plants to the attention of students in novel or engaging ways. My goal with this channel is to provide a resource to individuals who want to accept the challenge articulated in the last line of Link-Perez & Schussler (2013, Plant Science Bulletin) to explore the diverse, exciting, and intricate world of plants that lies "beyond the bean seed."
