There is another thing that bothers me and I guess I'm alone on this: Ever since MK5 or so the characters (because of 3d) often had their backs facing the player. This was no big deal to the new franchises like Tekken, but it was fixed in MK only later on (MK9 was the first I GUESS) by a button that just change the foot that is facing forward with a fast movement.

Just to compare: Street Fighter 4 develop team had all the trouble to make VEGA/BALROG(Claw) character's claw to be facing the right side of the screen no matter what side he is. That is because they NEW that a game is only truly 2.5D if some gameplay aspects are kept in the 2D realm. MK too was 2D and since the success that was MK9, I understand that players from all over the world also want MK to stay 3d for visuals ONLY and keep 2D for gameplay.

SO....Why the same coudn't happen on Mortal Kombat games? I watched several matches of MK11 and still there is this issue and for some reason this makes the flow of battle seems a little odd to me. In contrast on what they did with Street Fighter 4 that was nothing short of a miracle (remember that the 2.5D aspect was tried poorly executed with the EX series. Some people liked -I did - others didn't even bothered).

Ed Boon has never answered my Tweets about this. You can argue that this is rubbish, but maybe a little more attention to detail in that particular field could make the game more dynamic instead of having to press a button just to face the right side of the screen.

Everytime I see announcement of a new mortal kombat game, I got really excited... until the trailer pops out and there is that music... hip hop...rap or something like that and I'm like " Jesus Christ Ed Boon... put yourself together man " nothing against who like that but it's like to put Hungarian Rhapsody by Liszt as a soundtrack on Masterchef season finale... jesus I miss the old games.

First topic on this platform. Any ideas on how to take the best out of it?
