As winter arrives many of you are about to or may already have wintered your RV. Draining out the water and blowing out the lines with compressed air is one way and another is pumping in potable antifreeze. If you have a clothes washer you need to ensure antifreeze is pumped through both the hot and cold sides of the machine. I have a video on how to easily do this. https://youtu.be/Bo_-oievunY

Thousands of RVs are being evacuated from hurricane Miltons path with a lot of them being plugged into standard house outlets via an adapter at their temporary location. There is a safe way to do this to avoid fire danger. Earlier this year I shot a video on how to do this to avoid problems.

Earlier this year I posted a video about essential safety items to carry with you on your RV journeys. One of them was a safe method to transfer gasoline or diesel from a can or jug to your vehicle. With another hurricane coming this video covers some essential things to include in your bug out kit.

As a certified RV inspector I cannot emphasize enough the importance of having an independent Inspector look at you RV purchase, new or used. My recent video about the LazyDays RV dealerships no longer allowing outside inspectors on their premises is getting lots of views. The companion video "RV Inspection horror stories will show you why you really need to get it inspected.

I just posted the first of a series of videos of lightweight RVs from the 2024 Hershey PA RV show. My goal was to focus on floorplans under 4,000 lbs. This video walks through a bunkhouse that sleeps 4 and only weighs 2,627 lbs.

On our cross country trip we encountered two occasions where fellow RVers had clogged black water tanks and no RV service technician was available. I was able to help them as I carry a sewer flush valve with me. They are inexpensive and easy to use. Its like insurance, you don't need it till you need it. Here's a video explaining how to use it with a link in the description to Amazon to get one

Were back from a 5 week RV journey to the Northwest. At the end of the trip we stopped at the Sullenburger Aviation Museum in Charlotte North Carolina to see the A320 US Air accident aircraft "Miracle On The Hudson" on display. We then watched the movie "Sully" starring Tom Hanks. Seeing the actual plane and then watching the movie was a moving experience. Here is a video of the museum display,

Were on the road in Devils Tower Wyoming, major storm here on Monday, 80 mhp winds and 18 inches of hail, some baseball sized, closed the park and caused major damage at the KOA campground. The night before in Kennebec SD were went to the campground laundry room after the tornado siren went off. Luckily there was no touchdown. I have video of the damage at the KOA, trees down KOA teepees smashed and RV damage. The KOA staff worked hard to get the roads open. When we get to a place with enough bandwidth I'll upload the video.
