Hi! I'm Abhinav, a UK based, Indian filmmaker. In 2018, whilst filming a documentary in Ukraine I met the Roma people for the first time. They thought I was Romani too but soon realised that I was from India. We immediately had a connection. I fell in love with the Romanis and later found out about their connection with India. Over the last 5 years, I have travelled to different countries and spent time with them. After producing the first video about them I felt I wanted to give them a voice by telling their stories. Roma people have faced persecution ever since they arrived in Europe. The condition for Romas is better than it was when they arrived but they are still discriminated against.
