I've been involved in grizzly bear management since 2006. My goal, to keep grizzly bears on the landscape. They are important part of our ecosystem, they need protection, we do that through educating, making people bear aware, keeping both the bear & public safe. Human-Wildlife Conflict Management I believe is the only way to keep a balance and harmony. I love the challenge this brings, and over the years I volunteered with bear management, eventually being hired by Parks, after 7 seasons I moved on to other challenges, I did a couple assignments with the oil/gas Ind. as a bear monitor. In 2020, 21, & 22 , I travelled to the Arctic to work barren grizzlies with a possible polar bears along the sea coast in the Yukon, NWT to the Nunavut. In 2022 I headed to BC & represented a indigenous tribe as their bear specialist, it was a short assignment. As the spring is around the corner, I am looking at new adventures and challenges within bear management that hopefully takes me somewhere new.
