SmartPLS is a software with graphical user interface for variance-based structural equation modeling (SEM) using the partial least squares (PLS) method. The software can be used in empirical research to analyse collected data (e.g. from surveys) and test hypothesized relationships. Since SmartPLS is programmed in Java, it can be executed and run on Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
The following list provides an overview of implemented algorithms and analytical options: PLS and consistent PLSc path modeling algorithms, weighted PLS and PLSc algorithms, ordinary least squares regression based on sumscores, advanced bootstrapping options, blindfolding, importance-performance matrix analysis (IPMA), multi-group analysis (MGA), hierarchical component models (second-order models), nonlinear relationships (quadratic effect), Confirmatory tetrad analysis (CTA-PLS), Finite mixture (FIMIX-PLS) segmentation, prediction-oriented segmentation (POS), SRMR as an approx. goodness of model fit.
