the Herping in the Mid-Atlantic has come to an end for the season, so I have started a new hobby to keep me busy until the snakes reemerge. I’ve been making Custom Friday the 13th masks based on the different movies / looks of Jason Voorhees. I’m a huge fan of the movies and it has been fun creating these. I’ll continue to post some Herping content that I’ve yet to post from this past season, but I’ll also be adding these custom mask videos as I complete each mask.

Just hit 2,000 subscribers! I’m also about to cross my first 1 million views! This channel started out as just a way to document some cool memories, but it has turned into so much more. Through this channel I’ve made lifelong friends and made incredible memories and hopefully, have helped show that snakes don’t have to be scary. With that, maybe it prevented some unnecessary snake deaths. The march to 3,000 begins.

My YouTube channel has done surprisingly well for only being around a year. With that comes the responsibility to make sure I’m not putting the animals in danger by giving away the location with my channel name. There are people who watch these videos with bad intentions. I’ve decided to change the channel name to Rusty’s Snake Adventures.
*Better Logo coming soon.

My name is Rusty. Follow me as I expore the East Coast in search for species I’ve yet to find. What is Herping? Jodie Otter explained it in a quote better than I ever could.
“Herping is a cool way to say you’re searching for different types of amphibians or reptiles. The term came from hobbyists and Herpetologists that wanted to give this activity a name. Herping is a great hobby to get into and you could go your whole life and still not make a dent into some of these amazing species. Along the way though, you will see some of the most gorgeous colorations, patterns, sounds, and looks of all sorts of animals.” -Jodie Otter
