Eli Rezik, a film director and VFX artist, has been immersed in the movie-making industry since he was an assistant on local movie sets at the age of 17. He studied Cinema & Television - at Tel Aviv University, followed by VFX at the IAC.
Over 16 years, Rezik has directed several short films and worked as a VFX general artist on several feature films, including the Oscar-nominated "Omar," award-winning "Villa Touma," and "This Beautiful Fantastic." He has also directed music videos for various Palestinian artists.
Rezik's films explore the themes of identity and community, particularly regarding Palestinian identity. His latest film, "Borek," examines different meanings of Palestinian identity as seen by Palestinians living within Israel and those who have chosen or been forced to live elsewhere.
Recently, Rezik has focused on freelance directing, using his broad experience in film directing, writing, and VFX to bring a creative, story-led approach to his projects.
