Final boss of community posts (kinda literally):

So, I've been doing some thinking, and I'm probably going to switch over to a new YouTube account (as in, I'll create a new channel and probably ditch this one until who knows when).

I know this is kinda out of nowhere considering my last post was talking about a possible new upload, but this has been on my mind for a while (basically, since I started posting actual videos).

Since this channel was created back in late 2019, the email tied to it is an old one which I BARELY use anymore (I really only use it for this channel). So, any emails which may notify me about this channel's status (specifically, anything I need to fix or change) will likely go unnoticed. My MAIN worry, though, is that I'll lose access to the email (like if I forget the password) and get locked out of my channel as a result. Don't get me wrong, having multiple emails can be good for safety/privacy-related reasons. But, this is an email which is tied to many other random things, over half of which have probably faded from my memory completely considering the email's age.

Like probably many other kids who grew up watching YouTube, I'd always dreamed of posting my own videos. Socializing is pretty difficult for me, and my more "specific" interests (the ones I'd hyperfixate on) seemed to be relatively uncommon come high school. So, posting my random passion projects online seemed like the perfect idea. But it REALLY took me a while to finally do it.

And, I'm happy I tried posting videos. Sure, I was constantly stressed about how I hadn't posted a video in whenever (despite me trying to convince myself that I had "no upload schedule"), but even just 1 extra view was enough to make me feel successful. Every notification brought me excitement.

I'm hoping the creation of the new channel will let me focus more on the stuff I want to do as opposed to what I feel like I "have to do" (hobbies and passion projects-wise, of course). This is probably my one last "thank you" to anyone who even just visited this channel. It's not a big "thank you," but its length doesn't change its true sincerity. This "thank you" comes from the heart.

In a way, this channel was its own passion project. I knew that I wouldn't be "done" with it in less than a month. The finished product wouldn't exactly be tangible, either. It would be the feeling of "I posted videos on YouTube, and people saw them."

So, with that in mind, I'd say I'm at a pretty good place to stop.

So, aside from that SA Extra Stage replay, I haven't really posted any videos in 6 months. But, recently, kobbob7 (the "non-Touhou player" who rated 165 Touhou characters in my most recent video which had actual editing) had an idea where he could rank some Touhou Spell Cards based on their difficulty!

I may see what I can do with this concept, as my last video with him did surprisingly well. Along with that, it'll be a video to post while I'm working on that giant video which has been on the making for over 6 months now (I'm not even sure if that one will end up getting finished at this point).

The video is still in the concept stage, and I haven't really done much thinking about how I'll have him rank them or how the video will play out, since it's a bit tricky figuring out if one Lunatic Stage 6 boss Spell Card is harder than another Lunatic Stage 6 boss Spell Card.

I'm not even sure if I'll 100% go through with this idea, but I think trying it out could be fun.

So, that aside, I'd love to ask anyone who might be reading this post a quick question. As we all know, some Spell Cards or non-spells which look super dense aren't actually as hard as they seem, so...

What are some Spell Cards (or non-spells) that you would like to see someone who has almost never played Touhou "rate" the difficulty of? Or, which ones do you think are much easier or harder to capture than they look?

So, about an hour ago, I cleared Touhou 11's Extra Stage with ReimuC after ~5 months. I'm pretty happy about it (despite the clear run not going as smoothly as I hoped), so I may upload the replay to my channel!

It's my first time clearing an Extra Stage, and I haven't posted any videos in a long time, so I might as well upload it, right?

So, uh, yeah. Expect that sometime today (probably).

Hey ya'll!

First off, 300 SUBSCRIBERS! Thank you all for sticking with me despite the lack of posts or uploads! I haven't really been working on the next video all that much, since I've been spending more time doing other stuff which I enjoy. But, that doesn't mean the video is completely cancelled, since I would really hate to put all the time I spent on it so far to waste.

Anyway, I decided to do a sorter based on how much I like each character, taking pretty much everything into consideration (personality, design, fanart, fanon depictions, theme, etc.).

See you all next post!

Or next video, whenever that's gonna be.

So, good news! The video editing software I use recently rolled out an update which is going to make the editing process of that next video go by much faster!

How close is that next video to being done?

Well... uh... I may or may not have taken a 2-week break from editing so I could do some other stuff...

At the moment, though, I'm polishing everything I've already edited. In fact, the whole editing process is everything BUT a straight line to the finish! Like, I'll be working on a new part just to realize something is wrong with a previous part. So, I fix up the previous part which then makes me realize something is wrong with an even EARLIER part, and- yeah, you get the picture.

I'm feeling a lot better after that break, though. I just really wanna get the fact that I don't have an upload schedule through my head.

Hope you all are doing well!

While I'm not the biggest fan of my most recent video, (Non-Touhou Player Rates 165 Touhou Characters (ft. kobbob7)) due to it lacking in a few things...

I want to thank all of you for letting it reach OVER 15,000 VIEWS!

I never really thought one of my videos would blow up like that, especially one which, at the time, I didn't think was NEARLY as good as some of my others.

I know it's been like, a month and a half since I've posted another video, but just know that I still care for this channel a lot, and all the people who've motivated me to keep going by simply giving me that extra view or comment.

Seriously. Becoming a YouTuber has been a dream of mine (and probably many others) since I was little, and the fact that I'm actually DOING it and people are actually ENJOYING my videos just means so much to me.

I'm hoping to finish the next video and go back to sorta-monthly uploads. I'll probably do big videos like this one rarely from now on...

Last Friday-ly update:

Video editing is about 13% done, blah blah blah.

Okay, let me explain what I mean by "last Friday-ly update".

For a while, I've felt like the video I'm editing at the moment has caused me some stress. I knew some of this stress was coming from my desire to post it sometime soon, but I didn't really know why editing this video was causing me MORE stress than editing some of my previous videos.

I may have found the reason.

At first, I used these updates as a way to show that I wasn't a dead channel, and that I still want to connect with my somewhat-small audience. Now, they've kinda just turned into progress reports on the next video.

As a result, I feel like I HAVE to make good progress by the next update so it doesn't look like this video is never gonna come out. This completely goes against the purpose of this channel, that being a place for me to just post the stuff I create without having to worry about an upload schedule.

So, I will no longer be posting updates EXCLUSIVELY on Fridays. Rather, I'll post these updates whenever I feel like it.

Of course, I will still be sharing my progress on the next video, but only when it's actually necessary. In turn, I will also be posting about stuff that may happen outside of video editing, such as holidays or the games I play.

Hopefully, this decision will take some stress off of me. I just want to look back at my YouTube channel and think "that was a fun" in the event that I stop posting forever. Hope you all understand!

TL;DR: I will no longer post these updates every Friday, as doing so stresses me out.

See you next...
uh...
idk...
