It's my 40th birthday.
I had always been afraid to announce my age because I had always been treated like getting older lowered my worth. In reality it is the people trying to convince me that I am unworthy who feel worthless.
At 40 I am proud to be mature (sort of) and wiser. I have learned that my worth is not a reflection of my age, my weight, my looks, how many ppl want to sleep with me, how much money I have, how many followers I have.....
Everyone is inherently worthy of love and respect. You just have to start by giving it to yourself.
As women age we dont lose our worth, we just start tolerating less bullsh*t. And that's why we are gaslighted to think that we are the problem. We are actually the solution.

It is extremely common for at least someone to attack you and shame you for standing up for yourself because your boundaries make them uncomfortable.
We need to let go of the need to please everyone and get everyone to like us. We need to get used to letting some people hate us. Because when you try to please everyone, you disrespect yourself.
Let me tell you a secret...
The people who are targetted the most by toxic people are not "dramatic". The don't want it, or go looking for it.
The people who get targetted the most are people who intimidate toxic people.
The people who get targetted the most by toxic people may be attractive, intelligent, charismatic, talented, kind, loyal, giving... they are special in some way, which makes the toxic person feel inferior, and compels them to "destroy" you in some way. Whether it's your reputation, your relationships, your finances, your health, your peace...
Telling people the facts about what someone did to you is not the same as when a toxic person talks smack about you. When they do it its not facts, its lies or exaggerations done with the specific intention of turning people against you. When you tell your story, and people make their own decision to avoid your bully, the toxic person did that to themself.
Toxic ppl talk smack behind your back. Healthy ppl tell the truth to your face or without hiding it.
They hurt me. They crossed my boundary. They disrespected me.

Versus
They're crazy. Don't talk to them. Stay away from them. You should be scared of them.
(Controlling and toxic)
No one gets to tell you your experience didnt happen, or your feelings arent valid. That's gaslighting.

(For some reason I thought it would be weird to post my grocery list so I scratched it out...)
I have been getting them constantly again as I have been making an effort to consciously create my reality... especially when things I would normally consider shitty happen. As if these seemingly shitty things are definitely happening for my benefit and to get me to my goals faster.
Sometimes it takes a crisis to move us out of our comfort zone and onto the path towards a goal that is also outside our comfort zone because its big and bold as it should be.
