The Rapid Charge Network is helping electric vehicle drivers, drive further, by creating a network of rapid charge points suitable for all EVs.
The project is the first project of its kind that has brought together four major EV manufacturers – Nissan, BMW, Renault and VW – with ESB in Ireland to provide a solution for all electric drivers.
Launched in September 2014 at a Welcome Break service station in the heart of the UK, the network is now made up of 74 charge points which stretch from Stranraer in Scotland to Suffolk in the East of England, from Hull in Yorkshire to Holyhead in north-west Wales, connecting with Belfast in Northern Ireland and Dublin in the Republic of Ireland.
