Just released a major update for Depth Above, if you're interested on the full list of changes, you can find it on here darxkl05.itch.io/depth-above/devlog/836704/major-u….

From now on, I'll probably focus on the development of the full game instead of the demo, as to push the project forward

Ight now that the demo has been out for some time, I'm planning to release a semi major update fixing some bugs and adding some quality of life improvements so, is there anything you'd like to see for this update?

As of right now, I aim to add / fix the following
- In-game gamma adjustment
- Fix some implementation errors related to the mask when going through scenes
- Fixing general collisions or other reported bugs

Also, I can't fucking believe the huge support that the last video has received, so I really gotta thank you for that. If you discovered Depth Above through that video, I really hope you liked it. The boost of views and subscribers I've received from that has been really rewarding, and I really want to make the demo as good as possible for all the people that play it. I truly can't thank you for that, so, if there's something you want to see in the new update, just say it and I'll try to do it, as it will probably be the only major update that the Demo will receive.

Depth Above has just been published on Gamejolt, you can check it out gamejolt.com/games/depth_above_demo/935595

The itch.io version will receive updates earlier due to how fast itch.io is when pushing updates, so if you can, download the itch.io version.

Also, I just wanted to thank everyone who played the game right after the release. I'm really happy that you were able to beat the game and enjoy it, and I hope the small bugs you found weren't a big issue in your playthrough. The game has since received 3 patches, which have fixed all the bugs you've reported since the release, so I really gotta thank you for sending me the bugs you've encountered. The demo will still receive some major updates with quality of life improvements, but the development of the full game will start in a few weeks, once the demo has received all of its necessary updates.

I'll keep you updated on more stuff, but if you're interested in all the development stuff and updates, you can check those in Depth Above's itch.io page (darxkl05.itch.io/depth-above)

Thank you all so much for the great reception ^^

After so much work during these past few months, and thanks to your amazing support through all the development, I'm really excited to announce the release of Depth Above's Demo. It makes me really happy to see how all of you have consistently shown interest in the game, and I truly appreciate any kind of feedback. You wouldn't believe how happy it makes me to know that people are beating the demo in its entirety and enjoying it, because that's something I never got to experience in Call From Within.

I'll make a video about the actual release later on, but for right now, just know that you can play it for free on darxkl05.itch.io/depth-above

Thanks again, and I really hope you enjoy the demo ^^

After a lot of work during these past few weeks, I'm really happy to finally announce the release date of Depth Above's demo. The game has been playtested in different computers, and all the bugs that were found have been fixed.

I will test some more stuff before the release, but the game will be out in less than 24 hours, for everyone:

02:00 AM CET (November 2)
01:00 AM GMT (November 2)

Heya, while I've been kinda busy with some other stuff lately, the demo of Depth Above is almost finished. I wouldn't pinpoint an exact date rn, but all I can say is that the final scene of the demo is currently in the making, and what's left after that it's some technical details and playtesting, which will take me some days. If you're interested in everything that's been done in the past weeks in more detail, here's the new devlog:
darxkl05.itch.io/depth-above/devlog/796619/updated…

I'll still post some videos and the regular clips to keep you up to date, but I don't want to spoil that much cuz I think it would be better if you experienced it yourself of course.

Thank you again for all the support, I hope you're enjoying the stuff I've been putting out ^^

btw the render you're seeing rn might appear in the final version of the game, for now it's just a reference

Heya, it's been a while since I wrote smth on here, so I thought I would update you on a few things.

Firstly, I'm back home with my own computer, so I can now continue working full-time on Depth Above again. These past days, I've been working non-stop on a ton of stuff, and there's some solid progress being done. In the next few days I'll publish another devlog with all the details, but in general: Inventory has been done / Stamina and health UI and mechanics have been applied / Footsteps recorded and added into the game / ...
I'm really happy that I've been able to do all of that just in the past days, and I hope I can continue like this.

Regarding the demo, it will be released a bit later, since I've decided to add more gameplay to make the demo a bit longer. The demo release will be delayed, mostly because I want to include some new mechanics in the demo. I want to know if these gimmicks work well or not, and for that, I would need your feedback directly from the demo gameplay.

With that said, I'm really happy to continue working on Depth Above, and I hope you all are still interested in the game ^^
