I’m taking a hiatus of sorts from YouTube. I have received a multitude of hate comments from a single account, probably about 20-30 or so. Some of the things said to me were hurtful, some were insulting, and it’s been terribly taxing on my mental health. One thing in particular was bad enough that I considered deleting my channel altogether.
I appreciate the support I’ve gotten on my channel, I appreciate everyone who’s taken the time to say something positive to me, about my music or otherwise, or even taken the time to check out what I’m doing here. It means a lot.
I’ve blocked and reported the account, but to a certain degree the damage has already been done and I’m too worried to put anything else out right now.
I was naive to have engaged at all, even if what I said was justified. The majority of my comments were me asking him to leave me alone. It’s been a rough couple of days, I need a break.
