What type of heated waterer setup are you using? I think I found the solution for my situation...but curious how others are doing it this winter!
Do you use a external base heater, a submersible drop-in type, or just old school pan that you fill for them daily?
Just uploaded how I'm doing it this winter with a bird bath heater as mine is sheilded form the wind...inside the coop. Only 50 watts instead of 150 or more. I forgot to add in the video that I ALSO have a plant sprouting heater mat wrapped around this cat litter box as well to supplement. I probably don't need both heaters....but the mat is only 16 or 20 watts I think...so will serve as "insurance" if one or the other fails.

The Miniature Chicken Channel is a collection of vids from raising serama chickens over the last 12 years or so. This smaller Malaysian species/breed make great indoor pets. They seem to naturally be more friendly than other chicken and remain very tame with very little effort. Since seramas are only a fraction of the average size and weight of a normal chicken, they can be kept indoors very easily or if outside, only require a fraction of the space.
