Behind every artist is a human being. Behind every band is a group of human beings. Sometimes we forget that. In many ways it seems obvious but sometimes itās good to send a reminder.
āŖ@MarcusMumfordOfficialā¬, a guy Iāve known and loved since we were kids growing up together, has made a beautiful album - a real, honest, and pure album that explores his unique story in a way he has never done before. Ted and I feel immensely proud of him, a deep love for those who contributed and loving gratitude for those that have supported his artistry.
We are excited about the next chapter of Mumford & Sons, weāre working on what that looks like, but for now we hope you can enjoy this person, our friend, being a human being.
(self-titled) is out September 16th and is available to pre-order now mm.lnk.to/selftitledYT.
Love, Ben and Ted.

It was 9 years ago we embarked on what has been one of our greatest adventures so far, the Railroad Revival Tour. bigeasyexpress.com/see-the-film.html
We met up with Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Old Crow Medicine Show and #OnThisDay played the first stop in Oakland, CA. The next 9 days would see us rolling through Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, picking up stow-aways, having police cars park across the tracks and all with a 24hour soundtrack from 30 excited musician who just wouldnāt go to sleep.
We finished the tour in New Orleans. Our train had been caught up in freight traffic and we arrived at the gig long after doors had opened . We literally jumped off the train and headed straight to stage to play the finale of what had been a remarkable journey. We want to thank our companions on that trip and everyone who came along to a show. We do love a good adventure. Hope we can see you back out there soon - Ted #TedTuesdays

4 years ago, we released one of our favourite collaborations yet. We had become good friends with Baaba Maal through our mutual friend Jozi and decided to spend a couple days in a studio in London to see what might come out of it. The creative energy of that session was special and we laughed and drank wine and played late into the night and it was just an awesome couple days. Out of it came There Will Be Time which was a precursor to our subsequent trip to South Africa and Johannesburg where we continued collaborating and made an EP alongside Joziās band The Very Best and Beatenberg. Thank you Baaba, for your talent and your friendship and hereās to 4 years of this song being out in the world. #OnThisDay
