I was really inspired this week by βͺ@KristinNicoleβ¬ π I copied her layout for her August goals. Mine is not as practical as I'd like it to be - next time each bubble will have a check list. β

I've just filmed my August #currentlyinked video and realised there were a few dried out pens and a few pens that aren't sparking joy. So, here they are in the process of being flushed, then I'll put them in my diy pen tray. π

I recently uploaded a stationery haul. I bought this dip set, which I planned to review... but they're really dreadful! I couldn't get them to write. They just discharge a blob of ink, then nothing. π Not recommended.

Happy Saturday! π©· In my latest video, I unbox a set of six calligraphy fountain pens from St.Penpps on AliExpress. I used Lamy ink, which wasn't a great match, so I tried some wetter inks - Iroshizuku and Jinhao. Much better!
I'll do a follow up video next week. π
Colours are Iroshizuku Yama Budo, Jinhao Pink and Blueish Violet.

For the love of fountain pens, ink and paper!
I look for the cheapest fountain pens and try them out.
I've worked as a teacher and a graphic designer, but I've been a low/no income, divorced/ single parent most of my adult life.
Having little or no money to spend on luxuries has educated me in how to find cheap alternatives whenever I can.
Some things I never skimp on, such as notebooks and paper,, but fountain pens have some very good, very cheap alternatives.
I understand the appeal of buying an original TWSBI Eco, for example.
Neurogically, we experience more pleasure when partaking of a more expensive alternative (look up the study conducted on wine tasting and medial pre-frontal cortex & ventral striatum activity) but in my current situation, I can't justify spending ten times the amount for something when I very much enjoy the cheaper alternative - the Lantibou 3059.
All plastics are recycled where appropriate.
