TATKAAR Kathak Dance Institute situated in Ahmedabad, is a pure form Kathak Dance Training Institute having its rich lineage with Jaipur Gharana. The Institute has been engaged in spreading the cultural heritage of India for more than five years. Spreading the essence of this unique Indian Classical Dance form has been the main aim and effort of the institute. It focuses on developing expertise in Kathak dance form along with attainment of academic recognition in form of regular degree courses like-Prathama, Dvitiya and so on. Over and above conducting classes, the institute has produced several mythological dance dramas in this form like- Mandodari, Danveer Kaarn, Meera Bai, Sita, are some of them.
The academy has in the past trained over 100 students in Kathak. The academy is headed by Smt. Shikha Chhangani, who is Kathak Visharad and choreographer for little over a decade.
