As opposed to the indices which were range bound within their consolidation windows, a market like Platinum had a breakout of its consoldiation window after rejecting off support, followed by an impressive trending move on the day.

Consolidation windows often keep me OUT of markets that are likely to chop around and not do anything. No trade, no stress, come back another day, or look at something else.

After my last trade recap, I'm trying to be better about leaving a runner on likely expansion days. In this case I TP'd the majority of the position after about 2R and will leave the ride the rest until closer to the end of the day.

Here's a Twitter thread I just posted outlining the trade I took today and how I managed the risk to avoid a loss when the bias was wrong. I chose to buy NQ over ES because of the STRENGTH NQ showed off the low of the day compared to ES which allowed me a chance to stay in the trade and reduce the risk at a logical time (ES would've been a full stop out). Here's the thread, let me know what you think!

Missed out on the big drop from the open (will explain in the daily review). Fortunate to get involved in this scenario 3 sell setup to capture something on the day.

Type 1 opening range short setup on NQ, confluence with today's opening gap. SSL hit just after 10am. HTF environment still bullish imo.

Took a loss today in the PM session. Timing was off. I think i know what I did wrong. Will discuss in tonight’s video. I will also go over a missed trade that would’ve been a great winner.
